Santogold , Veto e Minitel Rose

Depois desta catadupa de posts no mesmo dia seria pena eu nao incluir pelo menos qualquer coisinha que valha de música. Ultimamente tenho ouvido Santogold e Veto (e Minitel Rose já agora). Nao me apetece dar grandes explicacoes mas gosto imenso desta My superman.

"A shared distaste for stereotypical hit-recipes and unpredictable retro-waves originally brought VETO together, soon deciding to ignore ‘good advice’ from the music industry and instead play what they felt like. This soon turned out to be the right approach.

With a mix of progressive rock and modern electronic elements, Veto has created a clearly defined soundscape which is rarely seen in such an untried band."

"Santogold was lead singer of the Philadelphia-based punk rock/ska band Stiffed, whose 2003 album, Sex Sells, and 2005 album, Burned Again, were produced by Bad Brains bassist Darryl Jenifer. While in this group, she was offered a solo contract by Martin Heath of Lizard King Records. Her initial singles succeeded based on heavy attention from Internet media. White also appeared on Mark Ronson’s 2007 album Version, performing on a cover of The Jam’s “Pretty Green”.

Working with fellow Stiffed member John Hill as co-producer, she recorded her debut album, Santogold, which was originally slated for release on Downtown Records in January 2008, but was pushed back to April 2008."

Minitel Rose "is an electro/dance trio hailing from Paris"
